1. Information We Collect

When you sign in using a third-party OAuth provider (Google, Facebook), we receive and store the following information from your profile:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Profile picture URL

For email/password sign-ups, we store your email address and a securely hashed (bcrypt) version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session
  • Associate saved projects and preferences with your account
  • Manage your subscription status

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

plectrum.live uses the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication
  • Facebook Login — for sign-in authentication
  • Razorpay — for processing subscription payments
  • Umami Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (no personal data stored)

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

5. Facebook Data Deletion

If you connected your account using Facebook Login and wish to have your Facebook-linked data removed, you can request deletion via the Facebook app settings or by contacting us directly. We will remove the Facebook account link and any associated profile data within 30 days.

Facebook also sends automated deletion requests to our callback endpoint when you remove the app from your Facebook account.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (HTTP-only, secure) to maintain your login state. No third-party tracking cookies are set by plectrum.live.
